Frequently Asked Questions
- What is AutoFile?
AutoFile is a proprietary logbook system that functions similar to an ACARS system. Once hired by Freight Dogs, simply logon to VATSIM using your cid and the correct Freight Dogs callsign, your flights will automatically be added to your logbook. Block time begins from the time you start moving to the time you stop moving. No flight dispatch, no PIREPs, no special ACARS software, just jump in the left seat and fly, we'll take care of the rest. If the system hiccups, just let us know and we'll help you straighten it up!
- How do I get promoted?
Promotions are based on the number of hours flown on VATSIM. The promotion scale is as follows:
- 0-50 hours: 2nd Officer
- 50-100 hours: 1st Officer
- 100-250 hours: Captain
- 250-500 hours: Commercial Captain
- 500-1000 hours: Air Transport Captain
- 1000+ hours: Air Transport Master
- I have logged hours with another Virtual Airline, will they transfer to Freight Dogs?
The policy within Freight Dogs is that hours logged with another Virtual Airline do not transfer to Freight Dogs virtual Air Cargo. We do however award up to 250 hours of credit for hours flown on VATSIM. We will check this and award the proper number of flight hours when you apply.
